Are you ready to unlock the power of Salesforce and take your skills to the next level? Our program is designed to connect you with the tools and knowledge you need to succeed.

 

Here is what you can expect:

  • Salesforce Training: We will provide you access to Salesforce, one of the leading CRM platforms in the industry. Learn how to navigate, customize, and leverage Salesforce for your organization's success.

     
  • Trailhead Exploration: Get hands-on experience with Trailhead, Salesforce's interactive learning platform. Discover many modules and resources to help you master Salesforce at your own pace.

     
  • Canvas Integration: We will introduce you to Canvas, where you can find the "Trailmix" tailored specifically for our program. This Trailmix consists of carefully curated badges you can complete weekly to reinforce your CRM skills.

     
  • Monthly Updates: To ensure you stay up to date with the latest Salesforce features and best practices, we will host "Salesforce Fridays" every four weeks. These sessions will provide valuable insights and opportunities to connect with fellow participants.

To register:

  1. Click the Registration Link: First, click on the provided registration link.

     
  2. Enter Your LinkBlue ID: Upon opening the link, you will be prompted to enter your LinkBlue ID. This is your unique identification used for accessing various university systems.

     
  3. Select the Course: Look for the option to select a course. Choose "CRM Literacy" from the list of available courses.

     
  4. Choose the Date: After selecting the course, you must choose the date you wish to attend. Make sure you select a date that fits your schedule. CRM Literacy 2023/2024

     
  5. Identify Yourself: The system will require you to confirm your identity. It will utilize your LinkBlue ID to ascertain your identity within the University of Kentucky community.

     
  6. Specify Your Department: Finally, you will be asked to inform the system of the department you work for at UK. This helps maintain accurate records and may be used for administrative purposes.

Once you have completed these steps, your registration for the CRM Literacy course for Year 2023/2024 should be successfully processed.

As of now (Winter/Spring 2024), this program is free for any interested UK employee.

3. Is this program suitable for beginners, or do I need prior CRM experience?

This program is perfect for beginners with no prior CRM experience. It is designed to introduce you to Salesforce and CRM concepts from the ground up.

4. What specific topics and skills will I learn during the program?

You will learn the basics of using Salesforce, including data entry, navigation, and customization. We will cover topics like managing contacts, leads, and opportunities and understanding reports and dashboards.

5. How long is the program, and what is the time commitment required?

The program is flexible and self-paced, allowing you to dedicate 1-2 hours per week per your schedule. You can learn at your own pace, so there is no strict time commitment.

6. What resources and materials will be provided to participants?

We will provide access to Salesforce, instructional guides, video tutorials, and interactive exercises to help you learn effectively.

7. Will there be hands-on practical exercises and assignments?

Yes. You can practice what you learn through hands-on exercises and assignments to reinforce your understanding.

8. Are there any prerequisites or technical requirements for participation?

No prior knowledge or technical expertise is required. You will need a computer with internet access to participate.

9. How will the Canvas platform be used, and what is the significance of the "Trailmix"?

Canvas will be used to organize your learning materials, and the "Trailmix" is a curated set of Salesforce modules and badges that guide your learning journey, making it easy to follow step-by-step.

10. Who will lead the sessions, and what is their expertise in Salesforce?

Our instructors are experienced Salesforce professionals who will provide guidance and support throughout the program.

11. Is there any certification or recognition upon completing the program?

While this program does not offer certification, it will equip you with valuable skills and knowledge you can highlight on your resume.

12. How can I stay engaged and connected with fellow participants and instructors outside scheduled sessions?

We will provide forums and online communities where you can connect with peers and contact instructors for assistance.

13. What is the schedule for the monthly "Salesforce Friday" update sessions?

Salesforce Fridays will be scheduled every four weeks, and the timing will be flexible to accommodate participants' availability.
