Staff Senate Begins New Year with Focus on Engagement and Representation

The University of Kentucky Staff Senate has officially begun its 2026-27 term, with committees organizing and establishing priorities for the year ahead. Early discussions have focused on employee engagement, communication, healthcare workforce concerns, technology modernization, campus infrastructure, and supporting employees through ongoing organizational transitions. 

Telling Our Story: A Year of Impact, Advocacy, and Partnership July 1, 2025 – June 30, 2026

The 2025–2026 Staff Senate term has come to a close, and I want to take a moment to reflect on a year defined by engagement, collaboration, and meaningful representation of staff across the University of Kentucky. Guided by our theme, "Telling Our Story," Staff Senate remained focused on ensuring that staff voices were heard, represented, and included in important conversations shaping the future of our institution.

Staff Senate Hosts Beyond Blue CEO Craig Collins

As part of its ongoing Vice President Series, the Staff Senate welcomed Craig Collins to its February 12, 2026, full body meeting. Collins shared an overview of his roles as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for UK HealthCare and CEO of Beyond Blue Corporation, with a focus on the Beyond Blue initiative. 2021 Women's Conference Now Accepting Requests for Session Proposals

The University of Kentucky Women’s Forum is excited to announce the 2021 Women’s Conference, scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 27, at the Gatton Student Center. The theme for the in-person 2021 conference is "Balance: The Art of Creating Space." UK Women's Forum is now accepting requests for session proposals. 

2021 UK Appreciation Day Set for Aug. 4

All University of Kentucky employees are invited to attend the 2021 UK Appreciation Day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 4 at the Gatton Student Center. This year’s event may look a little different than events in the past, but one thing that remains the same is the gratitude to all UK staff and faculty for their hard work and dedication to the university.
